The four-players problem

Padel is always doubles. Four people, one court. It's why the sport is so social — you're never out there alone, and the rallies are long enough that everyone gets to hit.

It's also the reason most people who try padel don't become people who play padel. Booking a court means finding three other adults who are free at the same time, in the same place, at a similar standard. That's four calendars. The group text dies on Tuesday and nobody plays.

Every club solves the court. Almost nobody solves the other three people.

So that's the part weRally is designing around first. Open-play blocks every weeknight where you turn up alone and get put into games. Level bands so a beginner isn't handed to someone who's played for five years. A ladder running from opening week so there's always a game with something on it.

The courts are the product. The reason you keep coming back is that you never have to organise anything.
